Help Rodd Collins

On September 1, Rodd Collins -- better known in the sailing community as Maine Sail -- suffered a major hemorrhagic stroke. He survivied, which isn't common, and is currently in the hospital fighting his way through a myriad of related issues.

According to his brother, Rodd "still has his mind, memories, and sense of humor," but he's facing a mountain of medical bills, complete loss of income, and serious mobility challenges.

Rodd has contributed more help to sailboat owners than anyone we know. Through 11,436 forum posts (and that's just here), his own expert forum, meticulously documented how-to articles, extraordinary photography, materials testing, reviews, inside industry information, product development, and his website, Rodd has generously helped countless sailors while never asking anything in return.

Well, the tables are turned now and Rodd needs our help.

If he ever posted a thought, a photo, a suggestion, a resource, or anything that saved you money, time, or sanity, please make a donation to Rodd's recovery. He's in that position we all fear, where hospital bills grow exponentially while income vanishes.

On Rodd's site, marinehowto.com, there is a Donate button that will put any contribution directly in his account with no middlemen skimming off the top. On behalf of SailboatOwners.com, I am asking you to make use of that using the link below.

Rodd needs help... and he's earned it. Let's support him while he puts his life back together.
