General condition and any additional information
I sailed this boat after I purchased her in the winter of 2014 and again in 2015 when I realized I wanted to sail her in competition. I made a decision to get her in race ready condition. It was my hope that my wife would be willing to race with me but after a few races it was clear to me that she was not really that interested in competitive sailing. It is in the water now and can be viewed on the water. After mid-May it will be taken out of the water and stored on trailer. This is a once every 6 months routine for this boat. Each winter since 2014 I put her in the water yet I don’t sail her much since the replacement of the new sails. It is time for me to let her go and hopefully be appreciated by another sailor. There is not much to do on this boat other than put her in the water and sail her. Others have commented on the shape this boat is in regularly. Every now and again as I sail past the committee boat they comment on how the boat looks so new.
This is an awesome boat for the Florida Keys or any body of water that is somewhat shallow as with the rudder down it draws around 3’ and with rudder up steering with the motor the draft is around 21”. They accomplish that with a water ballast system and it is really easy to fill and drain the tank when you put her in or take her out of the water.
Typical Hunter 260 Standard features. Not many options sold with this boat when new.
Extra gear included
All gear shown here goes with the boat to include the old main and headsail with not rips or tears. Can be used as backups.
