Tartan 37 (1979) Southern Accent $49,500

This Sparkman and Stephens designed Tartan 37 centerboard yacht has been fully restored and upgraded to Bristol condition. The rebuilt engine (by Westerbeke factory) has less than 500 hours and runs like new. All electrical and safety equipment was upgraded in 2016, including new windlass and rode. Southern Accent is available for inspection in private marina in Bay Shore, NY. Boat conveys with all the necessities and is ready for immediate purchase, occupancy, gunk holing and costal cruising.

The hull is hand laid and molded as a single unit. It is cored with end grain balsa, tapered to solid glass in any high stress areas (engine bed, mast step, shroud terminals, thru hulls and keel sections). The deck is of the same construction with excellent non-skid on all flat surfaces. It is joined to the hull with a bedded, mechanically fastened lap joint that has proven to be strong and dry. The underbody features a skeg-hung rudder with keel/centerboard configuration.
