Gary Hoyt Designed perfect, simple performance day-sailor: a Nathaniel Herrishoff Catboat hull with modern bottom and foils for splendid performance, roller furling carbon fiber mast has you underway in 30-seconds, Hoyt Boom with infinite reefing, weighted centerboard, kick up rudder for shallow draft and towing; dinette table on centerboard with cover, port-potti, cabin cushions and insert to make a double berth below, Cockpit cushions, whale Gusher bilge pump, 2 HP Honda four-stroke out board with centrifugal clutch. This is Hull # 18 of 34 made at the TPI yard in Rhode Island with Scrimp resin technology for a very hard and solid hull material. Mast and Free-standing Hoyt boom are carbon fiber, mounted on ball bearings for sail furling and reefing. The beauty of this rig is that you can roll the mainsail up around the mast from the cockpit. This allows you to reef effortlessly to any increment of mainsail area (to about 35%) and it also allows you to get rid of the main quickly when you get to the dock. You put this boat to bed in 30 seconds. Barn-door rudder for looks conceals a tapered, deep, high-aspect rudder for great control and minimal weather helm. Centerboard is also a high-aspect ratio foil for lift and solid tracking. Boom is self vanging, and sail shape is comtodrled with the outhaul. This is an easy and very pleasant boat to sail in any conditions.
