My Nimble is the best cruising, comfortable stay-aboard vessel of 20 boats Ive owned in over 6 decades sailing. She is Canoe stern, shallow keel with lead shoe,Draft 39 ballasted Centerboard 5 6. Hull FRP, hand layup, bi- and tri-axial fiberglass with foam core.
She is a classic design and gets compliments and snapshots wherever she goes.
Length on-deck 30.11, beam 9.4, USGC documented displacement 7 net tons (designed displacement -unloaded- 7000 lb) Trailerable on dual axle rig behind a pick-up truck. Sisterships have reportedly sailed in the OSTAR trans-Atlantic race, crossed the Pacific to the Tuamotos, and New Zealand. One is reported to have circumnavigated. Sail area ca. 450 sq ft. Roller furl genoa, full batten main, conventional mizzen . Motor-sail / cruises at 5.7-6.3 kts at 13 N.Mi/gal range circa 170 nm.

Accomodations: headroom c. 6 ft throughout, 2 saloon settee berths, one converts to double. Double Vee berth forward, both sets of berths have hatch / skylight for ventilation. Hanging locker, enclosed head w/ shower. Dozens of storage shelves, lockers, cubby-holes and bins. Centerboard trunk has hinged leaves for a dining table with teak fiddles seating four on the settees
Galley: Sink (pressure water) and Adler Barbour refrigeration to Stbd, To port a gimballed stainless steel propane stove with glass-doored oven.

Improvements to the hull, deck, rigging, engine, or interior
Sails new c 2010, Neil Pryde (Beaton Sails) tanbark full batten main, Roller furling Genoa. There are Sunbrella sailcovers. The original main and genoa are servicable and are kept aboard as spares.

Custom teak companionway doors with tempered glass deadlights (in addition to traditional washboards (one of which has a mounted spare Ritchie marine compass)
Diesel (preventive maintenance) rebuild 2010 by Yanmar dealer, Monmouth Marine. Non corrosive 15 g. diesel tank with Racor inline filter. Spare engine parts inventory. Replaced SS shaft, Cutless bearing and propeller to Skenes Yacht design specs.

Custom linear polyethylene under-berth water tanks 15 and 22 gallons, with arm-accessible access clean-outs. 12 V pressure pump, accumulator tank and in-line filter.
Mizzen re-designed to eliminate standing rigging, and a teak plank bumkin added. This, plus a step on the rudder and hand-holds on the hull, allows boarding from overboard without assistance.
Hull ( circa 1992) was given 5 coats of Interlux Inter-Protect mica-layer epoxy and topcoated with Vinyl-Ester resin.
Two electronic tiller pilots (working and spare) with separate wiring and plug-ins
Bimini (2011) is Sunbrella, has a vinyl window bib which tied to the cabin, acts as a windshield when motoring in heavy rain. Two removable side- curtains off wind protection or a sun shade, under chill or hot conditions
Full hatch / companionway screening (Velcro attached) with custom NO-SEE-UM-PROOF mesh which really work, making below decks insect free.
Three portable (mounted) dry-chem ABC fire extinguishers and a permanent Halon Fireboy system in the Engine Compartment.
All bronze thru-hulls copper-cable bonded to an external zinc hull anode, Dual shaft anodes and a centerboard anode to its protective brass shoe.
Hull was refinished with Pratt and Lambert two-part Poly-urethane in the original classic dark-green and it has been well maintained.
All external teak is maintained in varnish, renewed twice annually, most recently, July 2017 with Epifanes clear gloss.
