BOAT FOR SALE
This is an old, well-built and complete boat that can be sailed now, though some things need updating. I bought this boat from Islander Yachts as a bare hull in 1972, watched the layup, completed it in my backyard, and sailed it from California to Texas through the Panama Cannel in ’79 and ’80. It has subsequently been sailed across the Gulf of Mexico, along the Texas coast, and a lot of day sailing on Galveston Bay. This is a fast boat (once covered 191 nm noon to noon during a Gulf crossing), but still comfortable and dry to sail on in all weather.
A complete restoration was started a few years ago, but advancing age and health problems have slowed this to a near stop, with some things yet to be completed.
