Keel cable, Mac21...

what is the length of keel cable required on a Mac21? the one that is on mine is kinda fuzzy with broken wires and about 20 feet long..... its all new to me and I have never had the boat off the trailer, but I need to replace the cable... can I access the cable attachment bolt at the keel with the boat setting on the trailer?

Thank you....

I got mine at 21 ft. Make sure its 7x19 too.

And you will have to drop the keel down about 10-11 inches to get to the cable bolt through the keel so in other words, you need to pick it up off the trailer at least a little...

so the cable does need to be long..... correct? and yes, 7x19.... do you use 3/16 or 1/4 inch cable?

The cable on a V222 is 11' long, 7/32" 7x19 with an eye swaged on one end, I can't see a V21 taking anything longer.

1/4" will be fine.

What is the right size for a venture 25 ? Any one know. The one that is on it is big and I was looking for less drag with a smaller cable.

I used 12ft on my 25 and it was actually longer than needed. Oh yeah, it was 1/4-in.
